Shaw’s — Rain check lies

I was in last week on Saturday night. I Was trying to use a rain check I had. This rain check was for 100lbs of chicken breast. Now, this rain check was almost a year old however I was told specifically by Patty who works on the front end when I’ve received rain checks from her to hold onto my rain checks as long as I liked because they would always honor them and if the same sale or better comes along just hold onto that raincheck until it isn’t on sale and I need the items. I since had stocked up on my chicken through sales over the last several months. I usually buy in large bulk because I make my dog’s food from scratch. Recently within the last several months, I have spoken with the meat dept manager to order the full 100lbs at once but each time the manager had said he had been trying to do orders in bulk but not receiving the amounts he was ordering. So he has mentioned coming in to get what I could and have a fresh rain check for the remaining amount. So on Saturday, I came in trying to do so and Patty was called over and very rudely told me that she would not honor the raincheck not only because of the date but because of the amount but the cashier who had written the raincheck had actually remembered the raincheck as well. I explained that the age of the raincheck was due to there being other sales that happened over the months and that patty herself told me the date never mattered and they would always allow it. She said she did say that but she would not honor this one because it was almost a year old and the number of pounds was too much she thought. I explained to her again that I had at least 3 times tried to order in full with the meat manager but he was unable to produce in one shot. Patty then told me I did not need to get all loud with her but she simply did not honor me. I am jow concerned because I have other rainchecks that are aging. Some of which wen for some time because I only recently got my job back. I was out of work for 6months. I left so upset and embarrassed because of how the patty
