  1. The supervisor Morrie told me to ask the buyer to take their payment back and to send me a check. Is that professional? My credit card has been on file for 4 yrs and all of a sudden it’s not good enough? The government can send me a tax refund to my account but paypal can’t? And customer service can’t help anyone. Why are they paying people who can’t do anything? Useless site, Useless customer service. Use any other site but this one.

  2. I bought a $40 item which was nothing like what was promised. Paypal was worthless in resolution of my dispute. I was supposed to get a lifelike singing baby shark and I got an 8″ hard plastic toy worth about $1. Paypal will only give me a refund if I send the **** back to China – which would cost much more than the refund. I won’t use paypal again.

  3. No human, no phone, no email. Only automated non-responses. They do not read submission. Seems to favor Chinese importer of counterfeit goods. Goods shipped after order cancelled as counterfeit. Seller refused to take back. PayPal doesn’t even respond except with automated we will see what seller says. At this rate I will close account and just take major loss. NEVER AGAIN.

  4. This company is a prime example of America legalizing criminals! This company should be shut down! The agents do not know their job if you’re lucky enough to get in contact with a live agent. The app is trash, the customer service is trash, the full handling of money from them is trash! My account was locked for for “security reasons” because apparently doing a $20 transaction is too much money. To make matters worse it’s been over a day and the issue still isn’t fixed.

  5. After having the money sent to me on hold for almost a week and calling 5 different times to get it released, I go to transfer money to my bank account only to be put on hold again for another 24 to 72 hours. To add insult to injury they charge me 65 dollars to participate in their scam. I will NEVER use PayPal again, I now understand why eBay parted ways with them. Absolutely horrible experience, save your frustration and find another way to send money.

  6. I had opened a Paypal account. I was sent money from a company for a sale. (I am a private citizen, not a business). They put a hold on releasing the money because they wanted to verify the item was delivered. The purchaser gave them that information to confirm that the items were received. I was assured by Paypal that they would release the funds. They would not release them and asked me for 4 other types of personal information. I called back again and they still would not release the funds. I asked for a supervisor and they disconnected the call. I looked on Facebook at their webpage, and there are hundreds of complaints from people saying that Paypal is blocking funds for no reason. This needs to stop. I need those funds emergently and they are acting like big brother. If they want to take this responsibility to the world, they need to change and fullfill what their promises are.

  7. PayPal closed by PayPal Credit account without notifying me or my consent, the only reason I found out was trying to check out for a purchase and my credit monitoring service notifying me of the change to my credit file. I contacted PayPal Credit and was told by the first representative I spoke to that my account hasn’t been used for a while and I should have received notifications by email along with a final notice letter in the mail. According to the rep, I would have been able to have my account re-activated if I called within 24 hours of the account being closed but unfortunately I was out of luck. I asked to be transferred to their supervisor and was informed that the previous agent had misinformed me. Per the supervisor, I should not be receiving any notices by email or mail and PayPal can do this at any moment but he would do me a favor and file a form to request my PayPal credit account is reactivated. This is one of the oldest accounts in my credit report and PayPal just closed it, lowering my credit score by lowering the average age of my accounts. It costs them nothing to reinstate the account and inform the bureaus of their mistake.

  8. PayPal placed a limitation my account and now I’m unable to receive or withdraw funds. They asked that I provide proof of identity and documents showing my physical address which I provided to them and removed the limitations. Just after that the same day I was unable to withdraw my funds I had received since I work as a freelancer graphic designer.Because of the limitation on my account and I have called them multiple times and get told something different every time. I didn’t do anything wrong for them to limit my account and they did anyway and now bills aren’t paid and I can’t receive funds for the work I have been doing and done. I need to access my funds and be able to pay house bills and rent plus receive money I have work for as a freelancer with other clients

  9. For 2 years I have received 1099-K forms for Pay Pal earnings. I do not have a PayPal account nor have I ever applied for one. PayPal managers did not close this fraudulent account last year (Mar’21) when I called them and they did not provide me any information to stop this fraud when I called this Mar ’22. They refuse to take any action, will not provide any information (like what email this fraudulent account is under?! so that I can investigate the identity theft they are supporting) – and I am now liable for tax on income on an account I DO NOT HAVE.

  10. I received a vague email from PayPal saying they were permanently limiting my account and withholding my funds for up to 180 days. I spoke to a woman on the phone that said they would look into reopening it in the next few days after I explained the payments I received were from friends for breakfast. I called back when I still couldn’t access the funds and they said it wouldn’t be reopened. Nobody can give me an explanation as to why. They just closed my account saying that I was sending and receiving too much money from friends and that I was violating their rules. I asked for a deeper explanation as to what that means and they couldn’t provide one. I just want my account reopened and my funds available.

  11. After getting some “limitations” on my account, there was an investigation, subsequently, I was permanently banned. I just got off the phone, as I wanted a reason why. I was told it was due to me being a “high risk” customer. This wasn’t based off anything I have actually done, since I’ve done nothing wrong. PayPal didn’t give me any information regarding the investigation or allow me to defend myself. They will not allow me to appeal. This is unethical. Downright unethical. I’ve never done anything malicious or with malintent. You don’t imprison someone up if you THINK they will commit a crime. That’s basically what they did.

  12. I ordered some cookware from a website. I paid $45.99. I never got tracking information or the product. Contacted the seller several times, but never got a reply. Contacted pay pal and filed a dispute. Contacted the cookware company and was told this was a scam. Pay pal ruled against me and closed the case even after they didn’t receive an answer from the seller.

  13. When I got home this evening I noticed an unauthorized payment on my PayPal account towards a Subway order through Doordash in the amount of $44.95. Upon further investigation I noticed that the order was placed in Georgia however I live in Albuquerque New Mexico. I submitted a claim with PayPal but they denied it immediately and did not give me a full refund. I have attached screenshots of the order and the location where this occurred. Please help resolve this situation by having PayPal review this case again and to give me a full refund of my money back in the amount of $44.95. Thank you.
