Kiwi.com — Refund not received yet

I was scheduled to travel on Jan the 8th from Athens to Milan. Out of my own initiative, I canceled the flight. Reasons: Covid-19 illness of my hosts in Italy. I was entitled to a minimum refund of 10 euros according to kiwi-com, but as of today no hearing from thew, and fear that tey might burry the whole issue, due to the meager extent of the money involved. Now, the trustworthiness of a company has nothing to do with the amount of money, but with the principles of fairness under which tat company is supposed to operate. Am I wrong?
