I had a Pixel 3 with severe call reception issues, otherwise mint condition. When I contacted Google for resolution, the support agent provided two options: ship to Google service center for replacement in 5-10 days, or ask Canada for a replacement. If I went through I would be charge upfront for a new device until the Google service center confirmed the issue was under warranty. I chose to ship the phone to the Google service center under a RMA as the exact words from Google Support Team were the service “may take anywhere from 5-10 business days from start to finish”, which I accepted. I shipped Pixel 3 on August 31, 2019 to the Google service center via their arranged UPS shipping. The device was delivered on September 4th. It has now been 26 days since Google received the phone and I still have no replacement. Original Google Support agent who issued the RMA stopped responding to me. I contacted Google Support by phone on September 25th. Spoke to Support and Shipping agents. I was told the service center is out of stock on refurbished Black 64GB Pixel 3 phones. They said they have lots in white color. I told them I would be fine with a white phone to expedite the process. They said they can not do this and after 57 minutes on the phone, the call ended with no resolution. I was told I would receive a follow up email withing a few hours which did not happen. On September 26th I contacted Google again by web chat. Again I requested either a white Pixel 3, my original phone back, or a new phone. They again said they cannot help me. I was contacted by a Google Team Lead on September 27th who told me I have to wait for their stock to replenish of refurbished black Pixel 3 devices. Had I known this process could take well over a month I would not have agreed. I was told 5-10 days. I require my phone this week as I am traveling out of the country and need it for navigation and documents.
