Good Morning Everyone, Yesterday at approximately 9:44 AM I received an email requesting that I Verify that we own optimuimwindow.com. I then called Godaddy to see what triggered this request. Godaddy informed me that our SSL certificate was going to expire soon. (SSL is a Secure Socket Layer that encrypts the data that is being transmitted on our site so that third parties can not eavesdrop on the transmissions) While on the phone with Godaddy they informed me that we already had an SSL built into our Enhanced Business package. Godaddy said that they would switch the SSL from our current layout to our Enhanced Business one. I asked them if this would have an effect on the site. They told me “No”. Godaddy then issued a $159.98 refund for the SSL. We had been double paying for years. At approximately 10:41 AM 1/30/2020 I noticed that our website was displaying a coming soon default Godaddy page. I got in touch with Godaddy right away and spoke with He had me on hold for about a half-hour or so then he came back and said the problem would be resolved shortly. said it was now a waiting game until the site was restored. It was now lunchtime I thought I would check when I returned from lunch. When I got back from lunch the problem was not cleared. I called and spoke with once again he had me on the phone for about a half-hour and returned to say the problem was fixed and it would take a while before it would take effect. This continued until the closing of business at 5:00 PM. I arrived home at 5:30 PM and I called Godaddy and spoke with he worked with me until approximately 6:02 PM. He also assured me that the problem was resolved and that we had to wait until the information to effect on the web. I waited until 6:20 PM and called back to speak with after waiting some time once again I was told that the problem was fixed and that we had to wait until the information was replicated across the web.
