Capital One — Denied access to my account

In late January, my debit card stopped working, and when looking at my account online, I see a message saying your funds are currently not available for withdrawl, and to call customer service. Upon contacting customer service, I’ve been getting the run-around…..first, my SSN needed updating, then my SSN needed updating for my credit card, then they say i have two online profiles that need to be combined…..now, over 8 weeks later, and hour upon hour on the phone and at my local branch, NOthing has changed. When trying to use the machine at the branch, there’s an error saying ‘no routing number associated with the account’. My last contact was almost a week ago….after over an hour, I was told my issue has been escalated (AGAIN!!!) to the 2nd Tier….whatever that means…..I was told it would be another THREE WEEKS before I could expect anything to happen. Well, I have zero confidence that anything will happen, and am at the end of my rope!! During the last branch visit, I even tried canceling the account that my debit card is associated with, and was told that because of the issue, I could not withdraw the money to put into another account……I have no idea what is going on at Capital One, but this is totally unacceptable, and someone there needs to take ownership responsibility for getting this issue resolved. If I wait another 3 weeks, we’ll be at 90 days of them keeping my money hostage!
