The Meat Shoppe — Poor customer service / poor product

This company is very hard to get in touch with, especially when you are calling about the quality of their meat. I recently had a salesman come to my door, just before Christmas, saying that he was in the area delivering to other local customers and had extra product. After offering multiple discounts from their original package cost, he finally settled on half off, which I had given into. The product looked promising, so I thought it was a good purchase. But, I was wrong. We purchased the steak package, and the meat smells like it was pre-seasoned and salted (was not supposed to be seasoned or marinated.) It seemed as if it was pumped with some sort of salt solution. Also, the meat was not the normal deep red color you would expect from beef. It was more of a pale tone, more similar to pork, which was very concerning. I have been trying to reach both the salesman, and the company, with no luck. They act as if they are focused on the quality of their product, as well as their customer, and we have had no luck in either department. Would highly recommend against this company.
