Kevin Tetu, 46, is a married man who is having an affair with Maia Rose Peterson, 26. They met during HOA meetings. Maia knew Kevin was married and Kevin knew Maia had a partner and a young child, but that didn’t stop them from getting together and lying to their spouses about it. At the end of December, after spending a romantic Christmas with his wife at their cabin, Kevin asked his wife to shave his rather hairy back for him, then he flew to Vancouver, BC, under the guise of buying a classic car. He video chatted with his wife telling her how much he loved her in the morning, and around 3pm that same day, he sent her a text message saying that he wanted a divorce. Unbeknownst to his wife, Kevin had paid for and flown his secret mistress, Maia, out to Vancouver to spend New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day with him in a hotel room. He lied to his wife about where he was and what he was doing, and then ghosted her after he sent her the text. His wife was worried sick about what was happening to him and what was going on because, at the time, she had no idea he was having an affair. Kevin and Maia are moving into an apartment together at the beginning of February. He will be spending money for furnishing the apartment and buying gifts for Maia (like trips), and he tells his wife that he can’t help support her because he has too many expenses. This whole situation has, obviously, shattered and destroyed Kevin’s loyal and loving wife of over 18 years. What he’s done and is doing is bad enough, but he’s adding insult to injury by now trying to blame his wife for everything and suggesting that she deserves everything he’s doing to her. Telling her that he was unhappy in the marriage (but not bothering to say anything to her about that until after he started having an affair), calling her names and ripping her self-esteem to shreds and telling her things like how she deserves to be abandoned. Kevin is an arrogant, manipulative, lying jerk who is good at hiding who he really is. Just know that if his lips are moving, chances are really good that he’s lying to you too.
