I received an extremely deceptive letter from what I thought was a legitimate notice from the LA County about my new home. The notice gives a sense of urgency, but is actually a marketing ploy to buy a home warranty policy. I can see how elderly people can get confused and give their money away to this scam company. I will look into starting a class action lawsuit against this company “Home Warranty Direct” for their intentionally misleading marketing tactics and fraudulently posing as a government agency.
