Purchased a Google Play Gift card for $200 from Sam’s Club. Google blocked the redemption of the card, Google refuses to respond or redeem card. 1.Purchased 2 $200 Google Play gift cards from Sams’ Club on 8/9/2019, Order #**********. 2. One card was redeemed with no issues, second card (GIFT CARD CODE: ****************) was unable to be redeemed on August 20, 2019 on Google account “************************”. Google requested additional information (proof of purchase, image of card) in order to redeem gift card. Information was provided on August 21, 2019. 3. To this day, Google refuses to redeem my card, I have communicated with them at least 15-20 times. Card has been blocked so it cannot be redeem on any other account, either. 4. Google refuses to provide any additional information on the status of my issue even refuses to explain to me why the gift was blocked in the first place, claiming an ‘specialized’ team is looking into my issue and they will respond at some point in time. It’s been 7 weeks and the ‘team’ has not initiated any communication with me in spite of my constant attempts to have them resolve my issue. 5. If Google is observing account 5. Google’s term and conditions DO NOT specify that they have the right to block gift cards form being redeemed and confiscate the funds, which seems to be illegal to me 6. Google has illegally blocked my gift card from being redeemed. They have NO RIGHT to confiscate my funds and not provide the service, specially when the gift card was purchased from a known retailer and proof was sent to the over 7 weeks ago. Google faces thousands of these complaints as seen on Google’s information forums where thousands of customers complain that Google has done the same to them and refuse to redeem their PAID for gift cards.
