Google Phones — Need a refund of my purchase price of $520

I purchased a google pixel 5a on Dec 31, 2021 while abroad although through a proper retailer in Israel with full google warranty. The screen stopped working shortly thereafter and needed to be replaced/repaired. Subsequently, after researching the issue this is apparently a known defect of this phone. I and the phone are in the US now but despite google admitting to being covered under warranty they will not replace the defective item or even allow a mail in option for repair (as they claim they allow on their website). They are insisting that since it was purchased abroad it must be brought into a repair site which is not easily accessible to me. In addition, since the phone is not showing up properly in their system, it is not clear that it will even be covered by the third party store they want me to bring it to for repair. I have requested numerous times and they essentially ignore my request. At this time I have already had to purchase a new phone and request a full refund of my purchase price of $520 of the pixle 5a phone. If that is not possible, then at a minimum a replacement phone should be mailed out to me as soon as possible.
