Dr Pepper — Bottle caps too difficult to open

Diet Dr Pepper is my ever-present beverage of choice so thank you for that. However, within the past 4 or 5 months, the bottle cap has been excruciatingly difficult, actually IMPOSSIBLE, to open. At the beginning, I dealt with the issue by various means: driving a knife (potentially dangerous) and turning the cap off; my sister told me a cute trick of using non-skip shelf liner, which worked for a while. Recently, I’d noticed the problem seemed to be resolved and was joyous about it. I get it. It’s just a calibration issue. Tweak it this way. Tweak it one way. I’d expect it’s very sensitive to the micrometer, right? Today, dang it, I’m just frustrated. I don’t know if this is an issue with ALL the beverages you manufacture, and, quite honestly I don’t care. But my lovely Diet Dr Pepper, I just can’t take it anymore. To elaborate, college football, SEC, is my jam. ROLL TIDE ROLL, baby! My husband and I tried everything to get numerous caps off today…all to no avail. Disgruntled to say the least. Perhaps at the very least, there is some way to test the ****** caps BEFORE you ship them. Something! PLEASE! I am sending this as a plea, not a complaint and I hope you take it as such. All my best. Fix the issue and perhaps thousands of 6-packs of Diet Dr Peppers, with normal, easy-to-open caps.
