Dollar General — Backed up Store, New Manager, Not enough help

Brand new employee, and a brand new store manager. The last manager left a ton of work behind. Also, I am not confidant in the new manager. There isn’t enough help to get things done in a timely manner. The DM -through rumor control- is not a good DM. I stand to lose my Food Stamps if I choose to stay with what appears to be not good. The manager does not have all the training and we do not have the appropriate tools. Never hire a manger until they are completely trained. Make over-stocked and over-supplied stores transfer to other stores. Make weekly reset checks. Make sure all stockers have good shoes and product scanners ready and operational Hold all DM’s accountable to a greater level. Provide benefits without short-changing employees. I am of the opinion that this is a $15.00 beginning rate jon with benefits. At least 5 employees in the store at all times that know exactly what they are doing. Make it easier for employees to transfer to stores that are not in a bad condition. Work with States and Department of Human Services because most of the kinds of employees already come from lower income ranges a step away from poverty.
