Custom Distributors — Watch out for these guys

Installed new appliances in a new home we built. It was installed and billed and was non-operational. 48 hrs to get repair scheduled We purchased appliances for a new home from custom Distributors. They installed the microwave and other appliances during the process of building the home. After we moved in we discovered that the microwave was not operational. They have billed for it and we’re responsible for installing a working appliance. They did not engage in any effort to replace the unit despite the fact that they sold and charged us for a faulty unit. They suggested that they contact a repair person and it took two phone calls and almost 48 hours to have the repair people call us. On both phone calls, I explained that they had sold as a unit that was not operational and that it should’ve been installed and confirm to be operational at the time of install. We do not think it’s appropriate to have sold as a unit that is not working and to has charged us for that unit. We also think that proper resolution to the problem by replacing it with an operational unit would’ve been appropriate. In the absence of replacing the unit, we think that prompt service should’ve been the resolution. Instead, we have been Told that service cannot be completed for almost a week. In addition, we don’t know if we need to order a new unit or parts have to be ordered. The primary complaint is that they sold and installed and billed us for a non-operational unit and Then did not probably resolve the problem.
