We went for a afternoon late lunch. I ordered the meat loaf as I love it, Mac and cheese and apples for side. The presentation was poor. The meatloaf was dry with no gravy. I had to ask for it. My wife ordered crispy chicken tenders with okra and fries as her sides. The chicken came out not crispy as she wanted. No coating at all. The okra was cold. The corn muffins were slightly burned on the edges and dry. On the positive side the biscuits and coffee was delicious. We have been to this location several times with no issues. Today was not a good experience. Maybe there was someone new in the kitchen. I left the server 20 percent as he was polite and tried hard to make our visit pleasant. It was around 2:00 pm when we were there and not busy. I love Cracker Barrel. It is my wife’s favorite. I am not one to complain but I felt like this meal was unsatisfactory. Thank you for letting me share my experience. I will go back to Cracker Barrel. It is a fair price for the meal you receive. This was my first unsettled experience. I would appreciate a coupon or gift certificate to cover our meals. Our bill was $29.99. I am not looking to get anyone in trouble. I respect employees that are part of a difficult work force.
