My daughter was in the care of Britta at Cookie Dough Daycare, and while she was there, thankfully the coverage was great. However, we got a text message stating that she could no longer care for my daughter effective immediately. I did not even get a 12 hour notice, when our signed contract states I have to give her a 2 week notice if we were taking my daughter out of her business. She then proceeded to tell me she did not have my daughter’s belongings (diapers, blankets, bottles, formula, clothes) because she was already on the road out of state. She stated she was keeping her pay for vacation. When we signed our initial contract, we had to pay the first and last week of care, so unknown to us at the time we paid for our last week of care, and she tried to keep our money as her “vacation time”. She initially stated she would give me my money back within a week, now she is stating a month? I do not trust her to get my daughter’s items back, and money back.
