BC Transit — 6699 commuter

My partner and I tried to take the commuter bus to visit family for the holidays. We originally wanted to take the 66 commuter from victoria to Duncan.we arrived around 3:50 at mayfair and waited until 5:20 .There was supposed to be 2 or 3 buses running during the time we stood there.we expected delays because it was snowy and there was lots of traffic, however there was nothing saying the buses were canceled in the cowichan valley bc transit site or the victoria site.we would have gotten on the 99 if it came, but same situation.i even got an email saying the 9966 were delayed, but after 5:20 we waited in the mall and the bus never came. There was two other ladies waiting for the 66 or 99 and both were from the cowichan valley,so they didn’t have anywhere to go,they were stranded in victoria. They both took the 66 and 99 into victoria aswell. My partner and I tried to call customer service to see if the bus was coming and customer service was closed. Luckily I has family that could pick me up,but bc transit should have atleast said the buses were canceled.Aswell, taxi’s are hard to get here when it snows because many drivers can’t drive in the snow. They should send s out when a bus is canceled. I understand weather affects busing, but that is no excuse to leave people unknowingly waiting hours in the cold when a bus is not going to come.
